Susan Gee is owner and therapist at Progressive Massage Therapy. Her philosophy on massage: “Massage does not have to hurt to be effective!” Susan is a transplant from Dallas to Hot Springs Village. She loves her work and truly considers it her ministry. “It’s extremely rewarding to see with your eyes and feel with your hands, someone rest and relax who was physically hurting when they walked in your office. Cancer and other chronic illness can wear you down physically and emotionally. Massage can make a big difference allowing you to rest and heal. The key is finding a therapist who has special training and can make the necessary adjustments.” Susan received her massage therapy license in 2007. Prior to massage, she spent many years in corporate America but decided to make a change when she started having grandchildren. Massage therapy has allowed her to slow the pace of life while making a difference in the lives of others. While in massage school her sister, Joyce, was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. She massaged Joyce’s hands and feet as she received chemo infusion and believes this was the motivation behind her work with cancer patients and those with other chronic illnesses.…
