Meet the PMT Therapists

Susan Gee is the owner of Progressive Massage Therapy. Her philosophy on massage:  “Massage does not have to hurt to be effective!”

After a long career in corporate America, she decided to make a change. Massage therapy has allowed her to slow the pace of life while making a difference in the lives of others.

While in massage school her sister, Joyce, was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. She massaged her hands and feet as she received chemo infusion. She believes this was the motivation behind her work with cancer patients.

  • Certified in Oncology Massage following a 300-hour certification program through the Peregrine Institute of Oncology Massage Training in Santa Fe, NM
  • Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapist (CMLDT), which allows her to assist those with lymphedema or at risk for lymphedma due to cancer treatment
  • Assists Breast Cancer patients regain mobility in their shoulders, neck and back following breast cancer treatments such as surgery and radiation
  • Her work includes massage for those in hospice care/end of life. Gentle touch at the end of life provides comfort for the patient and provides support to family members. She is co-founder and instructor at Final Touch Training

Glo Umphress
Glo Umphress

Glo has been providing massage in Dallas since 1989. She has studied many bodywork modalities including Oncology Massage, and works intuitively to meet the needs of each individual.

Overtaken by extreme anxiety prior to scheduled surgery, she found total stress relief and a sense of trust after receiving therapeutic massage. This was the catalyst for pursuing her career in alternative health.

Glo has completed the class, Massage for People Living with Cancer with instructor Gayle MacDonald and is Certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage.  She is excited to join Susan as they assist those affected with cancer and the side-effects of treatment.

In addition to Oncology Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and relaxing Swedish Massage, Glo utilizes CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, heated stone massage, the Migraine Miracle treatment and pre-natal massage.

Glo’s objective is to enable each client to experience their innate capacity for health and wholeness.

Denise Giovinazzo

Denise specializes in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and is a pretty awesome provider of Therapeutic Massage as well! She is trained through the Dr. Vodder International School of Lymph Therapy and is very passionate about providing this therapy to anyone who can benefit from it, which is everyone!

She has worked in the health-care field her entire life beginning in a hospital providing emergency care in New Orleans, ending in the corporate headquarter setting here in Dallas.  She also worked for the National MS Society managing five MS walks in North Texas.

Denise has survived breast cancer twice, most recently in 2015 when she decided to leave the corporate world of healthcare behind and focus on helping others through therapeutic massage and lymph therapy. She is an advocate for auto-immune disorders, cancer and heart disease.  She volunteers at the Texas Oncology Center and provides chair massage to seniors at a local assisted living center.  Denise feels very strongly about providing education to everyone about the benefits of Lymph Therapy as well as how to prevent Lymphedema. This is especially important to anyone who has had lymph nodes removed.

“I want to help others reduce, and eventually eliminate, their pain, discomfort and swelling through the power of touch.”
